A custom MtG environment

So, where do I start?

Our environment assumes a certain amount of knowledge of Magic: the Gathering. At the very least, you should be comfortable with evergreen keywords and basic mechanics of the game.

Every set in this environment is built for drafting, so if you want to get a taste simply grab one of the sets, whichever inspires you, and print it out.

What about constructed?

We also run a constructed format, which you are free to call Type I or Type II interchangeably — we haven't released enough stuff to even reach a rotation.

The meta is still in its starting phase, which means sadly we can't yet provide example decks. But with a single set released, your favourite strategies in draft make for great starting points!

There is no banlist, but this may change soon. Keep an eye on our blog for a Banned & Restricted announcement.

This is all great but... where do I get the cards?

Our proxy policy is pretty free. After all, it's not like you can source official, WotC printed versions of our cards. We only have a few rules that we hope everyone abides by:

  • Your cards should be readable. Ideally, they should just be the "official" image from the database, because that's recognisable.
  • Use the official card names (or aliases) from the database.
  • Make sure all cards in your deck have the same thickness. Don't mix laminated 180gsm paper with official basic lands, that's a good way to have all your basic lands be basically marked cards.

Have fun!

I've learnt the meta, where do I go now?

We're trying to build a competitive circuit, so you can once again play the game and see the world, for a very specific definition of "the world" that includes nowhere too pricey.

Or maybe you want to know the lore behind such iconic cards as the Half-Horse Half-Man, in which case we suggest you check out the story so far.

And if you're looking for people to play with, write to us and we’ll sort something out.
